I have over thirty years of psychological and advanced spiritual training in yoga and meditation. I am also a low single digit golfer. The average handicap has not gone down over the past thirty years, in spite of the superior equipment we have today. Why? Because most amatuer golfers do not work on their game! If you want to improve your game, work on mastering your mental game as well as your technical ability.
Dr. Mann specializes in helping golfers of all levels play their best. Golf is a very complicated game that requires both physical and mental skills. Most teaching methods focus upon the mechanics and leave out the most important aspect of the game: the mental/psychological aspects.
The golf swing is very reactive to one’s inner thoughts and feelings. In order to play at one’s best, the golfer needs to be focused, relaxed, balanced, committed, confident, positive, and emotionally stable.
Typically, negative thoughts, doubt, fear, emotional reactions, and the inability to sustain focus results in distraction and breakdown.
Dr. Mann combines the best of psychological approaches with yogic philosophy, meditation and breathing techniques which help the individual overcome those aspects in the mind and emotions that create fear, doubt, distraction and limited thinking: the precursors to performance breakdown.

Dr. Mann has worked with PGA Teaching Professionals, College and High School Teams and individual amateur golfers of all ages from 6 to 70.
Dr. Mann was awarded an Honorary Membership into the The World Golf Coaches Alliance, which is a division of the United States Golf Teacher’s Federation.
His most noteworthy golf clients include: Lee Brandon (2001 & 2003 Woman’s Long Ball Drive Champion), UCLA Woman’s golf team, UC Davis Men’s golf team, Windward High School golf team, players from the Hooter’s Tour and Men’s Long Ball Drive Competition.
Dr. Mann was a huge part of our success, and has been a great educator for the team and for me as a coach. The 8 Traits Personality Assessment and Report is your personalized instruction book to strengthening your mental game and performing better. Upon completion of the online portion, your answers will come to us for analysis and compilation of your 8 Traits Report. Your 42 page Report will be converted to an Adobe PDF file and emailed to you within two business days of completion of the online evaluation.
Our studies found that 8 of 32 Personality Traits distinguish the Tour Champions from the other Tour professionals. All golfers in our studies were members of the PGA Tour, Senior PGA Tour or LPGA.
The Tour Champions group was selected based on their record of wins vs. years on Tour and Majors. Statistical analysis determined that the Champions were distinctly different from the other players on 8 of these personality scores 95% of the time. This is our Champion Model. We know from experience that they are critical to performance.
