Dr. Mann has a global commitment to helping people transform their lives. He donated his time and services over two years to the University Community Project, Social Action Research Network (UCP SARnet) program created and directed by Arizona State University. This is their mission statement:
UCP-SARnet’s mission is to educate a new generation of culturally-sensitive community leaders who understand that governance in today’s world requires global perspectives on local community issues as well as close partnerships between governments, universities, and civic organizations.
This program created a partnership with Jain Irrigation System, LLC., and the Gandhi Research Foundation in India to bring community leaders and young entrepreneurs to their corporate training site in Jalgaon, India for a week’s training in Leadership Development, Water Conservation, Food Production, and Solar Energy. Most of the participants were from Africa.
Dr. Mann directed the Leadership Development aspect of this training and created a number of training videos for a special mentoring program and the general body in attendance.
