Mindful Awareness Meditation offers a different approach that is not so focused upon the subtle energy in the spine. This approach focuses upon observing your “thoughts” as they arise in your awareness. This method gives you a perspective that is great than your thoughts and helps you detach from too much identification with them. This is helpful with golf since we often have negative thoughts arise that can undermine our self-confidence and create doubt. This meditation approach helps us learn how to let go of those thoughts so we do not get distracted by them. This approach is more of a Zen tradition.
